Ngākōroa School
Working Bee

The working bee at Ngākōroa School has been in the planning since before the school was finished being built. It was great to have received funding from Lottery in 2022, which helped to fund this school garden build.  It was an absolute pleasure to welcome the team of volunteers from Te Rito Maioha Manukau, as well as volunteers from the school and it’s local community. We had the Oke Crew on board as well, which meant we had an army of volunteers to crank out the school garden in just a few hours. It helped that the Birdies Raised Beds were delivered prior to the working bee and the kids assembled them, which the really loved. A huge thank you to all our partners and suppliers, we couldn’t do this without you. The Ngākōroa School was officially opened just a few days later by Prime Minister Chris Hipkins.
