Pukekohe Christian School Working Bee

On Saturday 17th September, the Oke Crew rocked up at Pukekohe Christian School. Despite a rainy start to the day, we were joined by an amazing bunch of volunteers from the school, the Oke volunteer army and a TVNZ Breakfast Crew. Oke are taking part in the Z Good in the Hood Campaign in September and were selected as a charity to showcase the fundraiser. David Letele, Z Ambassador, interviewed the Oke Crew and got stuck in at the start of the day. It was great to work with another Pukekohe school and it was a record breaking effort to build and install Birdies raised beds, a Morrifield tunnelhouse, Garys Garden Sheds, shift over 6m of Daltons Garden Mix and plant a dozen fruit trees. All finished off with a pizza lunch provided by the school. A big thanks to Counties Energy and Auckland Council Sustainable Schools for funding this build.
