Edmonton Primary School Build

Build #74 at Edmonton Primary School marked a different kind of milestone for Oke. On Friday 30 January, we kicked off our first project of 2026, not a full working bee, but still a meaningful step forward in helping a school grow its outdoor learning space.
Instead of a big crowd and a full-day working bee, this one was more hands-on and focused. Michelle and Alisi rolled up with tools in hand and got straight to work, building a shiny new Morrifield tunnel house that will become a cornerstone of Edmonton’s outdoor classroom journey.
Thanks to funding from the Auckland Council Henderson-Massey Local Board, this tunnel house now gives the school the ability to grow year-round, protecting seedlings, extending the growing season, and giving tamariki a proper place to learn about food, sustainability, and patience (because gardens don’t do instant gratification).
