Phew, we finally did it, our first school garden build of 2021 and our fifteenth in total! This was a big project, which actually kicked off way back in August 2020, when we were approached by Rotary Onehunga One Tree Hill to help build a school garden at Te Papapa School. Long ago there was a garden on this site but it had become a corner of the school which had been abandoned. In order to work with the area where the garden was being built, we had a team of students from @dilworth.school clear the site which was a massive help. Even though this was garden fifteen, its still mind blowing what transformation can happen in a day. A massive thank you to the funding and volunteers from Rotary Onehunga One Tree Hill and Fletcher Living for helping to make the transformation happen. This is the beginning of revitalising this space but with the community on board, it’s going to a great place for the kids to grow and learn.
