Alfriston School Working Bee

On Tuesday 17th June, Alfriston School hosted one of our biggest working bees yet—three garden spaces, one epic community effort. Funded by the Bupa Foundation, the build saw the creation of a cottage garden, a blueberry garden, and a class garden, each designed to give tamariki hands-on learning experiences in unique and engaging ways. The mahi was powered by an incredible crew of volunteers from the school, local businesses, and even community police officers who rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in. This wasn’t just a garden build—it was a full-scale community activation, and the results speak for themselves
