Working Bee

In 2021, Oke was invited to present at the CLM Community Sport HALO Day and this is how our Founder, Paul Dickson, was introduced to Janetta Mayerhofler, Deputy Principal @ Flat Bush School. Upon visiting the school, Oke/Flat Bush School started to plan an awesome working bee, which would be Oke’s 25th School Garden and would also help to celebrate Matariki. It was a truly awesome build with an amazing bunch of volunteers, building a great new entrance to the school, made of new Birdies Raised Beds. This was accompanied by a new orchard at the entrance, as well as a Morrifield Tunnel House, new Garys Garden Shed and new soil in the existing beds. And the benchmark was raised with a truly delicious morning tea and lunch provided by the Flat Bush Staff….thank you.
