Working Bee

There has been a few damp Oke Working Bees, but our 31st school garden build at Kingsford School ranks in the top five of wettest and muddiest. Alas, despite what Mother Nature threw our way, the smiles continued throughout the build. Once again we deliver the Birdies Raised Bed kits to the school prior to the working bee and the kids did a great job of building them, placing them in the garden, lining with cardboard and filling with a few leaves. We then had a great turnout of volunteers from the school, AUT, Te Rito Maioha Early Childhood New Zealand and the usual amazing Oke Crew and volunteers. We were treated to delicious kai at the end of the build, which topped off a truly great morning.
