Papatoetoe East Primary

Following on from the success of the garden at Papatoetoe West (and the rebrand of the charity to Oke), our charity was recommended to Papatoetoe East Primary, who were looking to get their kids gardening. Oke took a lot of lessons from the first garden at Papatoetoe West and went about recruiting a whole heap of skilled volunteers (a lot of which were sourced by the school). We built all the raised beds from scratch, as well as built worm baths from recycled baths, built a toolshed (with shelves) and even managed to build some potting tables. We called upon the expertise of Winter Gardenz to supply the greenhouse. Over the years the garden has become an integral part of school life at Papatoetoe East.
