🌱🔨💚Oke Working Bee #55: South Auckland SDA School – The Papatoetoe Mission is (Almost) Complete!

Wednesday, 26th February 2025, and what a day to be digging, building, and growing! Oke hit South Auckland SDA School for our 55th working bee, and it was an absolute banger!

This one was extra special because we’re so close to completing our original goal—getting an Oke outdoor classroom into every school in Papatoetoe. And wow, did this community turn up for it! Tamariki, teachers, parents—everyone got stuck in, making it a real team effort.

A huge shoutout to our funders, Auckland Airport Community Trust and Mazda Foundation, for making this build possible. And of course, to our legendary suppliers for coming through yet again with the best gear and materials to bring this space to life.

The South Auckland SDA School whānau—welcome to the Oke crew! We can’t wait to see your tamariki making the most of their new outdoor classroom.

Papatoetoe—one more to go! We started this mission to bring outdoor learning to every school in this community, and we’re almost there. Let’s keep digging, planting, and growing together! 🌱🔨💚
