Oke Working Bee #54: Western Heights School – We Came, We Dug, We Conquered!

Saturday, 22nd February 2025 – what a ripper of a day! Oke rolled up to Western Heights School for our 54th working bee, and this time, we had an epic crew on board—big ups to Fletcher Living for funding this build and getting stuck in with us!

Armed with tools, enthusiasm, and a whole lotta sweat, we got to work transforming another school space into a thriving outdoor classroom. From digging and building to planting and high-fiving, this was community mahi at its best.

Massive thanks to the Western Heights School whānau for the warm welcome, and to every single volunteer who picked up a spade, hammer, or even just cheered us on. These spaces don’t build themselves, and it’s all of you that make them happen!

Western Heights tamariki—your new learning space is ready for action! We can’t wait to see you get growing, learning, and making magic happen.
